It is designed for learners aged 5 to 11 years. It develops learner skills, knowledge and understanding through the primary years which form an excellent foundation for future study. Cambridge International for Primary Learners of stages 1 to 6 aims to develop young learners who are confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged.
For the study of math and science, our curriculum makes provision for age appropriate exploration of syllabus concepts and the focus is on exploration, experimentation and discovery as they learn through play.
As students progress, an enquiry-based style of teaching and learning is stimulated, with the enquiry objectives integrated throughout, to encourage learning of these skills alongside the subject specific concepts.
At each level, mathematical and scientific concepts are illustrated through diagrams, demonstration, practical observations and guided tasks.
