Grade 1 Food Scientists explore healthy eating habits
As a part of our expert intervention programme , a session on healthy eating habits conducted by Ms Anouli Shah and Ms Tara Kashyap , , mothers of Khiyanshi Shah and Myra Kashyap of Grade 1 and nutritionists by profession.
The session covered a range of topics including nutrition, physical activity, hygiene, and mental well-being as well as eating etiquettes. The whole smorgasbord of engaging videos ,stories and presentation was a powerful way to instill good practices early on. The mothers shared their personal experiences and practical tips, making the learning relatable and interesting for young children.
Not only did they explain the importance of eating a balanced diet, focusing on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins while limiting sugary snacks and drinks, but also emphasised good hygiene practices like regular handwashing, brushing teeth, and proper grooming .
Today’s expert intervention encouraged children to adopt and maintain healthy habits from an early age.
