Janmashtami Celebration
Lord Krishna, The supreme personality of God Head, with the power of wit and kindness was born 5000 years ago. His birth is still rejoiced with merriment and glorious celebrations. On the chaos of an eternal night, the lord was born behind the bars of Prison in Mathura. His father brought him to his friend whom along with his wife Yashoda nurtured him bearing his naughtiness, and an obsession with butter. In our school the enchanting morning assembly about the celebration of Janmashtami filled in the light of the day into a rainbow of delight. Our assembly was a cultural program where children wore gorgeous traditional wear and spoke marvelously about the glorious deeds of Krishna. Melodious songs were sung and beautiful dance were performed extolling the transcendental virtues of Lord Krishna and touched everyone’s hearts. Portraying the traditional theme, the students of primary school performed a heart touching dance. The students of high school took us on a nostalgic journey about role of Lord Krishna in Mahabharata and his teachings of Bhagvat Geeta given to his friend Arjuna.
Mr. Nimai Saparay, an expert on the greatest Indian scripture of Bhagvat Geeta, revealed some facts about Krishna's birth and also gave the students some tips on how to remain focused on their goal. The morning assembly ended with an impressive poem recitation on the epic Mahabharata and a quiz which reviewed the learning of the morning.
Happy Janmashtami from Anand Niketan Satellite campuse! May Kanha play in the meadows of our heart giving us courage to face the challenges of life. Jai Shri Krishna!
